Born in New Orleans, Louisiana
B Diamond discovered his singing voice at the early age of 7; while singing in the church choir where he eventually became a lead singer years later. Carrying on in school he won every talent show until his final year of high school; which B Diamond tied for first place making him the first student to win first place consecutively.
Growing up in the New Orleans Calliope and Iberville projects; B Diamond was asked to join a local band 'High Quality'. Performing and traveling with the band, B Diamond moved to Canada as a teenager in the late 80s. Soon after, they became known as one of the hottest bands in Vancouver B.C, Canada. The band 'HQ' began traveling overseas as B Diamond decided to stay in Vancouver. At that time he formed a new band of his own; 'The Sel band'. Which soon after became one of the hottest and most requested R & B bands in Vancouver.
In the 90's still contributing to the local scene, he formed a local record label 'Dacrim Records Ltd' with 2 Canadian partners. B Diamond became their first signed artist. As a performer 'B Diamond' had become the city's most requested local R & B singer, performing for every Urban Concert that came through Vancouver.
In 1998 Dacrim Records released B Diamonds first single 'Same ol Game'.
Shortly after its release, the single was spun by the local DJ's at festivals, events, and nightclubs. It was also played on Commercial, College, and Community Radio Stations; making B Diamond Vancouver's first R & B singer to have a song played on 'The Beat 94.5 FM' (Vancouver's first Urban FM radio station).
When 'Dacrim' released the music video for 'Same ol Game', it received national support. It is the first R & B music video out of Vancouver, B.C., to be played on ' MuchMusic' . (Canada's Music TV Station.)
B Diamond's next R & B song 'Lets Party Nah' was entered in the Beat 94.5fm Battle of the Beat a weekly competition. His song won "by a landslide" beating every artist he went up against for weeks; before being retired from the competition undefeated.
After some differences of opinion; the Dacrim Records and B Diamond parted ways as an artist, but he remained partial owner of the label.
Now free as a artist, in the early 2000's B Diamond formed a group name "The Block Boys", where he was the singer and the other group members were MCs. They recorded a mix CD titled 'The Blocks Watching'. Which lead the group to perform as opening acts for artist such as The Game, Montel Jordan, KC & JOJO, Paul Wall, Boys To Men, Fabulous, Ginuine, to name only a few. The group lead by B Diamond became one of the lower mainland's most sought out groups, as a concert opening act.
After years of performing and working in Vancouver's Music scene for years; B Diamond decided it was time to take a break from the live music scene and move back home to New Orleans with his family.
His sabbatical was interrupted when Hurricane Katrina came and New Orleans Louisiana residents had to evacuate; so B Diamond and his family moved back to Vancouver B.C., Canada.
Behind the scenes B Diamond continued to work in the West Coast Music Community; working with most local artists with the help of a long time friend Jenn & Juice. They curated events and tours through BC and Alberta, as well as an Annual event called 'The Best of the Best Urban Showcase'. This event featured up to 20 performers each year.
Once again, B Diamond took a break from the scene in the late 2010's and moved back to the USA. This time he would take couple years away from the music scene. Until the pandemic hit…
While in lock down inspiration hit. B Diamond started writing and recording music again. He began working on the idea for his single No Pants Party ('Np Party'), featuring LA rapper Glasses Malone, Vancouver based MCs: Vic Vodka and Kanabliss, and was Produced by DJ Kemo.
The single has been listed as aTop Charting R & B song in Vancouver, B.C., and Seattle, Washington.
Breaking records of k100radio.com 'ILL OR KILL' and is loved by many. B Diamond's "No Pants Party" video was released on all major streaming platforms worldwide in 2022.
